Shannon Spicer – Senior Physiotherapist

Shannon graduated from the University of Otago with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 2013. She began working for Rehab Physio Centre in February 2014 until June 2016 when she moved to London for her OE.  She rejoined the Rehab Physio Centre team in July 2018.

Shannon has worked with many athletes in varying sports, including the New Zealand U17s girls basketball, Manawatu Jets, the Hurricanes Women’s sevens, and at the International Rugby Academy of New Zealand in addition to local varying high school rugby and basketball teams. While in London, Shannon worked in musculoskeletal outpatients and intermediate care wards within the NHS for multiple hospital Trusts, expanding her clinical skills further. She has recently returned to study this year starting the NZMPA Certificate in Orthopaedic Manual Therapy (COMT).  

Basketball is Shannon’s main area of interest and is looking to continue to specialise in this area, while also continuing to travel the world.
